fast food and drive thrus make the days run smoother
and carpool lanes and skytrains make the getting there sooner
it seems a bit out of this world
to consider
that delaying the getting
may be just what we are all desperate for
the waiting game that none of us want to play
because it's uncomfortable
and uneasy
and it's everything that we are not entitled to
and isn't it funny
how we tend to keep silent
not sharing the gifts of the waiting
gifts no drive thru window will ever deliver.
