The north wind doth blow making the garden seem
only a memory.
Buried in cornstalks and decaying leaves,
compost mingling throughout.
An October first snow covering early
any hope of prolonging growth.
The harvest was full of wonder,
but the sowing and the growing brought the ongoing miracle;
Seeds of patience,
consistency, and attentiveness
planted and tended all season long.
Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds that you plant.
~ Robert Louis Stevenson
