Droplets of water melt and then freeze into ice spears from the eaves.  There's these rhythms of melting and freezing, forming and deforming, and then the final breaking away.

There's beauty to be found in these cold, hard rhythms.  It's sometimes trying to see.

When you're in the cold, hard spaces, it's then when you need to be a beauty-seeker.

Because life is hard and hearts grow cold and people live sick and marriages die broken and keeping a family is crazy hard work.

The husband sends words in the middle of the day just to ask if all is okay.  I sit at the keyboard and tap back scripting that all is well, I just keep looking for the beauty.
